Make your website more dynamic by easily adding videos.

There are multiple ways to add videos to your website. You can embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or upload short videos from your computer as Section Backgrounds.

To add a video from YouTube or Vimeo

This is the recommended way to add videos to your website. 

  1. Add a Video A or B section.

  2. Click Edit. Two more buttons will appear.

  3. Select the Edit button over the space with the camera icon.

4. Under Video URL, paste the URL of the video you would like to upload (e.g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-EoVK4uekY).

  1. Save Changes

Note

The visibility of YouTube and Vimeo videos must be set to public when using this method.

To add YouTube or Vimeo videos as an item in a Gallery

  1. Position your mouse over the gallery and click Edit. You will be redirected to the Gallery Customization page.

  2. Select Add New Photos/Videos.

  3. Click Add Video.

  4. Enter the URL of the video (e.g https://youtu.be/JE3kpEO7WgM).

    • For Vimeo, click share and copy the link provided.

    • For YouTube, you may copy the link from your address bar.

  5. Click Add Video

Note

The visibility of YouTube and Vimeo videos must be set to public when using this method.

To add a video as a section background

You can add background videos to individual sections.

  1. Position your mouse over the section you want to modify.

  2. Click  under the Edit and Move buttons to access the Section Settings.

  3. Click the box next to Background.

  4. At the top, select Video.

  5. Select Upload Your Video and choose an mp4 file from your computer or drag it directly into the upload box.

  6. Select a Backup Image to display on mobile devices.

  7. Click Choose.

Note

Mobile devices do not support video backgrounds, so we highly recommend to Select a Backup Image to display on mobile devices.

To embed video via the HTML section

If you wish to add a video player from a platform other than YouTube or Vimeo, you may do so through the HTML section. The player you add must support embedding by the third party. 

  1. Look for the video you wish to embed.

  2. Obtain the embed code. Most services will have a share button and an embed option that will provide you with a code.

  3. Copy and paste the code into an HTML section on your website. Make sure the code was copied entirely.

  4. Save Changes.

Note

If you are not familiar with HTML or embedding, we highly recommend using the video section option. Responsiveness and effectiveness of embedded players will vary depending on the code provided by third parties and your own knowledge of HTML.
