Change Item Price

Menu item pricing can be changed on a one time basis as an order is created, or as a permanent change through the menu.

If you want to add modifiers to an item in an order, please see Modify Item During Order.

Change Item Price in an Order

This is a one time only change that impacts the Menu Item only in the open Order.

Action

Display

  1. Select the Menu Item on the Guest Check to pull up the Item Commands menu

  2. Tap the Set Price button

  3. Input the new Price

  4. Tap Accept

  5. Verify the Menu Itemprice reflects the change in the Guest Check

Change Item Price in the Menu

This will permanently change the Menu Item Price for all future Orders.

Action

Display

  1. Tap and hold the Menu Item button for the Menu Item that requires the price adjustment

  2. Tap Edit Item

    • This pulls up the Edit Menu Item options

  3. In the Pricing section input the new Menu Item price at the Standard level

    • Or input the desired special pricing in the appropriate level

  4. Tap Save

    • A green popup will display indicated the Menu Item has been updated

Edit Menu Item

In addition to changing the price, users have the ability (based on Job Permissions setup) to 86 items, change item names, and toggle on and off the Quantity on Hand function in the FOH.

86 / Mark an Item Unavailable

Method 1

  1. Tap and hold the Menu Item button for the Menu Item that requires the adjustment

  2. Tap 86 Item

    • A green success banner will display at the top right of the screen, and the item’s menu button will be grayed out

    • To make the item available, tap and hold the menu item button, then select Make Available

Method 2

  1. Tap and hold the Menu Item button for the Menu Item that requires the adjustment

  2. Tap Edit Item

  3. Check the Out of Stock check box

    • A green banner will display advising this change has been made

  4. Tap Close

    • The menu item’s button will now be grayed out

    • To make the item available, tap and hold the menu item button, then select Edit. Uncheck the Out of Stock checkbox

Please note: if you 86 an item via Method 1, you can make it available via Method 2, `and vice versa. These methods complete the same action and can be used interchangeably.

Change Menu Item Name

  1. Tap and hold the Menu Item button for the Menu Item that requires the name change/adjustment

  2. Tap Edit Item

  3. In the Name field, input or edit the menu item name appropriately

    • A green banner will display advising this change has been made

  4. Tap Close

Use/Edit Quantity on Hand

  1. Tap and hold the Menu Item button for the Menu Item that requires the adjustment

  2. Tap Edit Item

  3. Tick or untick the Use Quantity on Hand checkbox

  4. Input the appropriate Quantity on Hand value in the textbox

    • A green banner will display advising this change has been made

  5. Tap Close
