Merchant Dashboard Home Navigation

The main page of the Merchant Dashboard gives a brief overview of many important areas of the dashboard. There are sections for Sales, Customers, and Campaigns where the user can get a quick insight into the business’s performance. There are also quick links at the top of the page to create a new campaign or reach customers through email/social media. Each overview section has links to the full section for more detailed information.

Customers

Details

Display

  • The Customers section is split into 4 areas of information: Total Customers, Loyalty, Check-Ins, and Ratings

  • In the Total customers area the user will see the overall total number of customers for all time. There are options to filter- Today, 30 days ago, 180 days ago and 52 weeks ago. Changing the filter will adjust the data displayed in the Loyalty section

    • Click Go to Customers to access the full Customers tab

  • The Loyalty section will show the number of Active and New customers based on the filter from the Total Customers section. This section also display previous numbers of active and new customers based on the time frame selected

    • Click See more details to view Loyalty Performance on the Customers tab

  • The Check-Ins section displays the number of Check-Ins at the business for the previous 7 days

    • This can only reflect one week

    • Click Go to check-ins to view Check-In details on the Customers tab

  • The Rating section displays the business’s overall current rating on a 1-5 star basis. It shows the overall number of new ratings in the last 30 days, as well shows where and when the last 3 reviews were left

    • Click Go to Reviews to access the Reviews tab

Campaigns

Display

  • The Campaigns section is broken down into three sections: Active deals, Emails, and sections to Create a Deal and Create a Campaign

    • Click Go to Campaigns to access the full Campaigns page

  • The Active Deals section shows current Deals

  • The Emails sections show the emails sent to customers in the last 30 days, as well as upcoming scheduled emails

    • Click Go to emails to access the Campaigns tab

  • On the right side there are two sections, one for Deals and one for Campaigns. They do not display any metrics.

    • Click Create a Deal Now to go to Campaigns and begin a new Deal

    • Click Create a Campaign Now to go to Campaigns and begin a new Campaign

  • In the center there are quick links to go to Loyalty, and Campaign sections of the main page. There are also buttons to Create a Deal, Create an Email, and Create a Facebook post. Please see Marketing Editor for more information.

Sales

Details

Display

  • The Sales section is broken into 3 primary areas: Gross Sales, Average spend per transaction, and Credit Card Transactions

  • The Gross Sales section shows a graph displaying today’s sales in dollars (purple), in comparison to the week prior (gray), broken down by the hour. Hovering the cursor over the graph shows the exact sales amount per hour.

    • Click Go to Sales to access to full Sales tab

    • Click Go to Trends to access the Trends section of the Sales tab

  • Avg. spend per transaction shows the average amount spent by customers for each visit. This displays for the the average for the day prior, and compares the previous week, month, and year

    • Click See Deposits to go to the Deposits tab

  • Credit Card Transactions shows the number of credit transactions in comparison to other payment methods

screem contains a pop-out menu option display.

Dashboard Home

  • Brings users back to the Merchant Dashboard home screen

Marketing

  • Allows users to create marketing campaigns, monitor campaign performance, and set up a Google Business Profile

Loyalty

  • Allows users to view Loyalty Program performance

Reviews

  • Allows users to view current business reviews, ratings, and average reviews across Google, Yelp, Tripadvisor, and SpotOn

Customers

  • Allows users to access and import customer data, as well as monitor Loyalty Program performance

Sales

  • Allows users to view sales reports, including:

    • Trends

    • Sales Summary

    • Items

    • Staff

    • Disputes

Orders

  • Allows users to view, filter, and export order information

Deposits

  • Allows users to view deposit information, including:

    • Summary

    • Batches

    • Settlements

The right side of the Merchant Dashboard allows users to select the User Icon on the upper right corner of the screen. This will open the following options:

Account Settings

  • Allows users to access the settings for General account information, Security, Users, Loyalty & Deals, Taxes & Fees, Invoicing Defaults, and Invoicing Notifications

Admin

  • Allows users to set up bank accounts and complete W9 tax forms

Statements

  • Allows users to view credit card, PayPal, and SpotOn statements

Order Gift Cards

  • Allows users to order custom gift cards for customers

Order Loyalty Cards

  • Allows users to order Loyalty program cards

Refer a Business

  • Allows users to sent a referral to use SpotOn’s services

Add Services

  • Allows users to add new services to their business, including Website, Appointments, Loyalty, SpotOn Serve, SpotOn Restaurant/Online Ordering, DoorDash, Paypal, Venmo, and Klarna

Support & Legal

  • Allows users to view legal and support information

Logout

  • Allows users to log out Merchant Dashboard

The center of the Merchant Dashboard home screen will display an overview of the business and easy-to-use buttons. This display includes the following information (left to right):

Business Name and Information

  • The logo, name, address, and current date and time

Scroll to Payments

  • Sends the user to a graph of today’s credit card transaction information for the current day, the current week, the current month, and current year

Scroll to Loyalty

  • Sends the user to a summary of the business' Loyalty program

Scroll to Campaigns

  • Sends the user to any active marketing campaigns and deals

Create a Deal Now button

  • Allows users to create a new marketing deal that can be sent via email or social media

  • Allows users to create a new email campaign

Connect Facebook button

  • Allows users to connect their Facebook business page to Merchant Dashboard

Customers

  • Allows users to view customer totals and filter by the current day, 1 month ago, 6 months ago, and 1 year ago. They may also access further customer details by selecting the Go to Customers button

Loyalty

  • Allows users to view an overview of today’s active loyalty customers and customers over the last 7 days. Users may also select See more details to view in-depth Loyalty information

Current Rating

  • Allows users to see the current rating average and most recent reviews, as well as the most recent check-ins

Sales Trends

The Sales Trends section will display the Daily Gross Sales, Weekly Gross Sales, and Yearly Gross Sales. Users may export these reports to CSV by selecting the Export CSV button beneath each chart

Sales Summary

The Sales Summary section will display the following sales breakdowns:

  • Gross Sales

  • Sales and Refunds

  • Total Collected by Tender

Users may choose a custom date range and export these reports to CSV file format by selecting the Export to CSV button,

Sales by Items

The Sales by Items report will display the following information:

  • Top Items

  • Item Sale History

Users can choose a custom date range and filter the report as needed for further breakdowns. They may also export the Sales by Items Report by selecting the Export CSV button

Sales by Staff

The Sales by Staff Report has two tabs available for users to view data from: Net Sales and Orders. Users may select a custom date range if desire. Both tabs display the following information:

Top Staff Members

  • The Top Staff members Net Sales or Orders

Staff Sales History

  • A full roster of employees listed by their Net Sales or Orders. Users may export to CSV format by selecting the Export CSV button
