Tip
How the 7580g is set up in BOH will depend on how the scanner is intended to be used, as receipt scanner, or as a menu item scanner.

Display

1. From the BOH Main Screen, select Locations

2. Scroll to the Settings section, and the tick the checkbox titled Print Barcodes on Tickets

3. Use the Scan Ticket Barcode Action dropdown menu to select the preferred option:

This option will allow users to scan the barcode to access the Adjust Tip screen directly

This allows cashier based restaurants to have the customer bring up their receipt and the cashier can scan to bring up the order and pay

Information

Display

In order to use the scanner to ring in menu items, the menu item will need to have a lookup code in BOH
- You can find this by navigating to the menu item itself
- The barcode information will be under General Information
The barcode on the item to be used must exactly match what is listed in the barcode field on the menu item in order to pull into FOH when scanned
If the barcode field is empty, barcode numbers can be manually entered here

Tip
Note: If you connect the scanner to your computer, click into the barcode field, and scan the item, the barcode will be generated into this field for you.

Once a barcode is entered correctly, scanning the associated barcode label on the item will cause the menu item to generate into FOH in green status and can then be sent to attach to a ticket
