In this example, we will attach a price to the specific Modifiers for the types of serving glasses used to serve the Menu Items (craft brews). That way the restaurant owner can view the ways in which their product is being sold.

1. Create Modifier Group

2. Create Modifier(s)

  • In this example, the Modifiers will be the types of serving glasses, i.e., Pint, Mug, Tulip, etc..

3. Attach the newly created Modifier Group to the new Modifier(s)

4. Create Modifier Option

  • In this instance, we use a dash ( - ) as the Modifier Option name because the Modifier Option’s name in the FOH is the Modifier created in the step above

  • Be sure to add the Modifier Option to the newly created Modifier Group

5. Return to the newly create Modifiers (the serving glasses) and set the Price for each in the Standard Option, i.e., perhaps the tulip is $8 and the pint is $10

6. Create Menu Item(s) and set the Standard Price to $0.00

The reason the price is set at $0.00 is because the type of glass will determine the price of the drink. Each serving glass type will have a Modifier with a Price attached, i.e., price for Tulips vs price for Pints

However, if a certain craft brew is more expensive, you may add the difference in cost to the Menu Item pricing and it will be added to the Modifier price for a final, higher price.

7. Add the Modifier Group withMin and Maxset to 1

8. Check the Rollup Pricing checkbox

9. Verify the Menu Item and correct Modifiers can be selected in the FOH
