The SpotOn Restaurant POS has the ability to “force” a server or bartender to ring a certain type of menu item before being able to send their order though.
Example: Requirement to ring through a drink before sending an appetizer to be prepared.
Force Ring Setup

Step 1 - Station Types Settings1. From the main BOH screen, select the Station Types icon |
2. Select the Station Type from the left hand panel to apply the Force Ring Method to 3. In the Configuration section, use the Force Ring Method dropdown to select:

Step 2 - Locations Settings1. From the main BOH screen, select the Locations icon |
2. If needed, select the desired Location from the left hand panel 3. Scroll to the Force Ring Item Settings section |
4. Set the Type to Guest Count 5. Input an Instruction Message, e.g., “Ring in a beverage item” 6. Select the Menu |

Step 3 - FOH Confirmation1. Ring in an item that does not belong to one of the selected Menu Item Groups 2. Press Send 3. Confirm Error Message advising Force Ring Requirement to continue |
