QR Group Order & Pay

Multiple customers will be able to collaborate on one order together in real-time. When customers “join the order”, other customers will see that on their own device. Same for when other customers add items to the bag, send items to the kitchen & pay for the bill.

Customer QR Group Order Flow

Action/Information

Image Modified

Scanning the QR Code & Viewing the Menu

The first thing customers will see when scanning the QR code is the menu. This is so they can browse the menu & look at the details of the items before starting or joining an order.

Image Modified

Joining an Order & Viewing the Menu

Once a customer joins an order they will see their first initial highlighted, and the initials of any other guests who are on the order with them.

Image Modified

When customers are joining the order, we will now require a guest name. This is crucial for the group ordering aspect of this experience.

Tip

Guests can even add emojis! 🍔 (heart)

Image Modified

Inviting Guests

Customers will be able to “invite guests” to join the order from the native share sheet functionality on their device.

Tip

This is especially helpful if a guest is running late! They will still be able to collaborate with their group on the order and get their cocktail order in!

Bag Screens

Sending Items to the Kitchen

When collaborating on an order with multiple guests, items will be sent to the kitchen together.

For example if Brian & Frank are collaborating on the same order, when Brian clicks Send Order, all of Brian & Frank’s items that are added to the bag will be sent to the kitchen. They guests can continue to add items to their bag.

Tip

If Pay Now is enabled, when the guests select Pay and Order, their items will be sent to the kitchen when they have paid.

Checking Out & Loyalty

When one guest initiates checkout, they will be prompted with a modal asking Is your table ready? The reason for this is because the order will “lock” for all other guests when someone is checking out so the order total does not change during payment.

Info

The guest checking out may exit the checkout screen, which would “unlock” the order and allow guests to continue adding items to the order.

Warning

Once the order is paid, the order is complete & will be closed. If guests wish to order more after completing payment they will need to start from the beginning.

Tip

At this time, only one guest can make payment on an order.

Loyalty may only be added to the order when the customer is on the checkout screen. Only one person may earn & burn loyalty.

In order to earn loyalty points on the order a customer must do one of the following:

  • Sign-in (either on the menu or checkout screen)

  • Provide their email address on the checkout screen in the optional field
