Loyalty, Rewards & Deals

The Loyalty & Deals settings are located in the Account Settings of the SpotOn Retail Dashboard.

Accessing Loyalty & Deals

Action

Display

1. Select the User Icon in the upper right to access the drop down menu

2. Select Account Settings

3. From the options on the left, select Loyalty & Deals


Loyalty Widget

SpotOn Loyalty clients can now add a customizable loyalty widget to their website, allowing them to grow their customer contact list. This self-service feature empowers customers to sign up for Loyalty Rewards on their own- earning repeat business and increased revenue.

Display

  1. From the Merchant Dashboard menu on the left, select Loyalty & Deals

2. Scroll down to Loyalty Widget

3. Enter the desired text into the Text field

Tip

All updates will display live in the preview box on the right side of the screen

4. Check the Color of the Text box to change the widget’s font color. Choose from a preselected color or enter a custom color

5. Check the Color of the Background box to change the widget’s background color. Choose from a preselected color or enter a custom color

6. From Position, choose between having the widget appear in the lower left or right of the website

7. Once all needed changes have been made, select Copy on the right side of the screen to copy the HTML code, which can then be added to the website

8. The new Loyalty Widget will now display on the website


Earning Spots

In this section, the user can edit or set their Earning Rule for Spots. This is the earning rule for customers to earn Spots per dollar amount they spend.

Edit Default

Action

Display

1. Click Edit Default to change your default Earning Rule for how your customers can earn spots.

2. Input a new default earning rule for customers to earn Spots per dollar amount they spend in the Earning Rule side panel

3. Set the Dollar Amount and Spots Earned

4. Click Save


Add an Additional Earning

Additional Earning Rules will override the default Earning Rule for the time frame selected. This feature can be used for special sales or events.

Display

1. Click + Add an additional Earning

2. In the new Earning Rule sidebar, type a Description into the empty field

3. Enter a Purchase Amount

3. Enter the amount of Spots Earned

4. Select the Start and End Dates, as well as the specific time of day,that this additional earning will be in effect for

  • During this time frame the Additional Earning will override the Default Earning

5. Click Save

6. The new earning rule will not be displayed beneath the Default Earning

The newly created earning rule can be modified by clicking Edit on the righthand side of the screen.


Redeeming Spots (Rewards)

Your customers and guests will be able to redeem the Spots they have earned for the Rewards you create here.

Existing rewards may be toggled On and Off in this section.

Add New Reward

Action

Display

1. Click the + Add New Reward button

2. In the New Reward side panel, input the number of Spots required to redeem this reward

3. Input a name for the New Reward

4. Click Save

Tip

You must click Save Changes in the lower right corner of the screen to save the Reward/Edits to the Core database. If this is not done, the Reward/Edits will be automatically discarded.


Deals

Lapsed Customer Deals

SpotOn makes it simple to identify customers that haven’t checked in for a while so they can receive deals to bring them back for more business.

Action

Display

  1. Scroll to the Lapsed Customer Deal section

  2. Use the Enabled/Disabled switch to toggle this option on/off

  3. Click Edit in the Lapsed Customer Deals section

4. The Lapsed Customer Deal pop-out menu will appear from the right

5. Enter a number into field and select the desired frequency from the drop-down menu to Day(s), Week(s) or Month(s) since a customer’s last visit

The number must be 1 or greater.

6. Input the Reward Name

7. Select the Expiration using the drop-down menu to choose between 30 days, 60 days, or Custom

8. If a Custom expiration is selected, input needed number and use the drop-down menu on to select Day(s), Week(s), or Month(s)

7. Select how often you wish to send this offer to the same lapsed customer by inputting a number and using the Frequency drop-down to select Day(s), Week(s), or Month(s)

8. A preview of the deal will appear

9. Click Save


New Customer Deals

Automatically send a thank you offer that encourages new customers to hurry back for their next purchase. Customers will receive this offer via email after their first check-in at your business.

1. Use the Enabled/Disabled switch to toggle this option on/off

2. Click Edit 

2. The New Customer Deal pop-out menu will appear on the right

3. Enter a Reward Name for the deal into the field

3. Set the Frequency

4. Preview the deal, then click Save

3. Select the desired Expiration using the drop-down and chose between 30 Days, 60 Days, or Custom

4. If Custom is selected, enter the number and use the drop-down to choose between Day(s), Week(s), Month(s), or Year(s)

5. A preview of the new customer deal will appear

6. Click Save


Birthday Deals

Automatically send a birthday gift to your customers.

Info

Customers will receive this offer on the first day of their birth month and will automatically expire at the end of the month.

Action

Display

1. Use the Enabled/Disabled switch to toggle this option on/off

2. Click Edit 

2. The Birthday Deal pop-out menu will appear on the right

3. Enter Reward Name for birthday deal

4. A preview of the birthday offer will appear

5. Click Save
