1. On the POS, from the Command Bar, select Show Commands
2. Select Gift Card from the Select Command … menu

3. Swipe the gift card on the EMV reader
Alternatively, you may manually enter the gift card number (located on the back of the gift card) on the EMV reader
4a. When the Gift Card popup window displays, select Activate
4b. If the gift card is already active, and needs to be reloaded, select Reload
5. Input the amount to be added to the gift card
6. The gift card amount will be added to the order total, and may be paid for through the payments screen, like a normal order

With the order that is to be paid for via gift card select, press Show Commands in the Command Bar
Select Gift Card from the Select Command … menu
Swipe the gift card on EMV reader
Alternatively you may manually enter the gift card number (located on the back of the gift card) on the EMV reader
In the Gift Card pop up window, select Use as Payment
If there is not enough money left on the gift card, another form of payment will be needed to finish paying for the transaction
If your restaurant frequently sells/reloads/accepts gift cards, you have the ability to add the Gift Card button directly to the Command Bar. Please see Command Bar | Restaurant FOH for more information on how to set this up.
