Delivery Order Management

SpotOn Restaurant POS makes it very easy to process and manage delivery orders.

Create Delivery Order & Attach Customer to Order

  1. Start a new order by selecting an item from the menu or tapping New Order

  2. Tap the upper left corner to access the Ticket Commands menu

  3. Select the Change Type button

  4. Change type to Delivery

  5. Select Menu Items, review for accuracy

  6. Select Customer Info from the Command Bar

  • Tap the Customer Details button to verify deliver address

  • If required, update Customer details as necessary

  • Tap the Attach to Order button

  • Skip steps 7 - 11

7. If it is a new customer, select New Customer

8. Fill out Name, Phone Number, Email (optional); tap Accept when complete

9. Tap New Address

10. Enter the address for the delivery order, tap Accept

11. Select the address, then tap the Attach to Order button

12. Hit Send and order is sent, ticket is printed for the kitchen to prepare the delivery items

  • (Optional) If desired, payment can be taken for the Delivery Order now, by tapping the Payment button. Payment can also be taken by the Delivery Driver, i.e., cash upon delivery.

  1. Click on the Locations icon in the BOH

  2. Select the appropriate Location

  3. In the Settings section, locate the Delivery Order Type

  4. Use the drop down menu to select the Delivery order type

1. Select Driver Manage from the Command Bar

  • This brings up all Delivery Orders that have been rung in

2. The driver will select the Delivery Orders in the sequence they will be delivered in, i.e., delivery stop #1, delivery stop #2, etc..

3. Once the Orders are selected, the driver will tap Transfer Orders

  • This moves the delivery orders to their log in

4. Once the orders have been transferred, there will be a green Transfer Successful alert

5. The Delivery Driver returns to the store, applies the payment, adjusts their tip (if applicable) and closes out the tab.

  • If payment is taken in advance, the Driver may return to the store and adjust their tip, and close the order. However, even if payment is taken in advance, the order will remain Open until the Driver returns to Close the order.

  • To Close an order:

    • Open the Ticket Commands menu by tapping the top of the Guest Check

    • Tap the Close button in the Ticket Commands menu

      • The Order status will change to Closed
