Payment Transactions

Sales Screen

Info

Merchants have the ability to input the desired charge amount and select the tender on their home screens. Additionally, they can include taxes, fees, and discounts in this process.

Action

Display

  • To begin a transaction, enter the sale amount using the keypad.

  • Select Card or Cash tender depending on how the customer is paying. 

  • Tap on Actions > Add Notes to add notes to the sales in action.

  • If Server Numbers are Enabled they will prompt after the Tip is input during the transaction.

Process a Sale

Info

This is the situation wherein merchants process card payments, through card insertion, swiping, or tapping.

Action

Display

  • After typing in the Sale amount and selecting “Charge” you will be prompted to Insert, tap, or swipe the card.

  • While the device is waiting for the card to be inserted, you can tap on “Manual Entry” to add the card information manually.

  • Sales can be aborted at this point by tapping the “Cancel” button.

  • Cash Payments: After typing in the Sale Amount and selecting “Cash” you will be prompted to enter the cash amount received in USD using the keypad.

  • You may tap Exact Amount in the case when exact change is provided by the customers. In that case, the amount received will be updated to the sale total.

  • If the cash received is more than the sales total, you will be prompted on how much change is due.

  • Tap on the “Got it” button to complete the transaction.

Refunds

Info

Refunds can be done directly from the terminal.

Action

Display

  • From the “Orders” menu at the bottom of the Sale screen.

  • Select the Order you want to refund from the Order list. Then tap the Refund button to initiate the Refund flow.

  • In the confirmation prompt, tap the “Refund” button to complete the refund. Or tap on “Cancel” to exit the transactions' details.

Taxes, Discounts and Fees

Info

On the sales screen, taxes and fees that apply automatically are displayed, and merchants can tap on the discount/fee amount to adjust it as needed.

Action

Display

  • Auto-applicable discounts, fees, and taxes are automatically displayed on the sales screen. You can modify these amounts by tapping on the corresponding values in blue.

  • On this screen, you can select/unselect existing discounts and fees. Tap “Apply” to reflect the changes on the sale.

  • You can add a custom discount by tapping on the “+ Add Custom Discount” button.

Surcharge

On the sales screen, merchants will also see the credit card surcharge displayed if they choose the credit card tender option during payment processing.

  • On selecting Card as a tender type, associated credit card surcharge is added to the sales order.

Reports

Sales Summary

Info

On this screen, merchants can view a list of all their sales orders and have the option to organize them by tenders.

Display

  • From the Settings you select “Sales Summary” You can see a list of all your sales here. You can group them by tender by tapping on the By Tender tab.

Search and Filter Orders

Info

Merchants can utilize order search and filters to search their orders through various fields and filter them based on different parameters.

Action

Display

  • On the Orders screen, tap on the Filter Icon on top to filter your sales order based on different parameters.

  • Select the Payment Status, Payment Method and Date of your preferences to apply the filter by tapping on the Apply Filters button.

  • You may select a Custom date range by selecting the “Custom” option under the Date filter.

  • On selecting this week, filters start from Monday of the current week.

  • Tap on the Search Icon at the top of the Orders list to enter the search mode.

  • You may additionally select categories from the drop-down suggestion to search within the select category.

  • All is the default selection if no category is selected.

  • On Selecting any search category, your search term is searched within the selected category.

  • You may tap on the x button on the right of the search bar to deselect the category.

Tip Adjustments

Action

Display

  • Tap on the Adjust Tip button against the orders tagged for tip adjustment in the Order List.

  • You can tap on the predefined tip percentages or, enter a custom amount. Tap on Update Tip to the $xx.xx button to complete the operation.

Batching / Settlement

Info

Closing a batch involves finalizing and reconciling all transactions processed within a specified time frame, typically at the end of a business day or shift.

Action

Display

  • Merchants can verify transaction totals, reconcile any discrepancies, and tap on the Close Batch button to close the batch.

  • Always ensure all tips are adjusted before closing your batch or ending your business day.

  • Selecting Batch History, merchants can view a list of their previously closed batches.

Tip Report

Info

Settings > Manage Batch > Batch History > Tap on individual closed batches.

In addition to the capability of printing the close batch report, this flow offers merchants the option to generate and print tip reports specifically for individual servers. This functionality enables merchants to access detailed breakdowns of tips earned by each server during the specified batch period.
