Loyalty

Loyalty rewards are set up and configured in the Merchant Dashboard, under Loyalty Rewards. Please see Hotspot Merchant Dashboard: Loyalty Tab for details on adding, adjusting, and disabling loyalty rewards.

Check-In

The customer can check - in on the SpotOn Terminal by entering their phone number or scanning their QR code in their consumer app.

Action

Display

  1. Enter the sale amount in theTerminal

  2. Tap

Check-In
  1. SpotOn logoin the upper right corner

  2. Enter 10 digit customer phone number or

    • Tap the Scan QR Code button

      • Scanthe QR code from the Check-In Tab in your SpotOn App and continue to Step 5

  3. Tap

Check In
  1. the blue check mark to check in

    • If the phone number is not recognized, a message will display: “No account associated with Phone Number. Enter your email above to complete a one time account validation

      • Enter emailaddress

      • Tap the green enter key

      • If there are multiple phone numbersassociated with the email address entered, a prompt will display requesting to select correct/preferred phone number

  2. A Success/Welcome message will display, tap Continue to access the Offers screen

Deals and Discounts

If the SpotOn Terminal is being used in conjunction with a Marketing Only account, the Offers screen will only display available Deals. The Offer screen for Loyalty accounts will display both Deals and Rewards.

Action

Display

  • The Offers Screen will display Rewards and/or Deals

    • If there are no Deals, Rewards, or Offers available, or if the customer does not wish to redeem any Spots, tap Skip

    • Rewards that are unavailable, i.e., the customer has insufficient Spots available, will display in gray. If an unavailable Reward is selected, a popup will advise the number of Spots required to redeem this Reward.

    • Rewards will display the Customer’s current Spot Balance

  • Tap a Deal or Rewardto Redeem
    • When redeeming a Reward, the customer must confirm the use of the required number of Spots by tapping Redeem

  • A Success screen will display advising the Offer has been Redeemed, and will be applied at Checkout

    • If the Device Handoff Setting is Enabled, the customer will be prompted to return the SpotOn Terminal to the user

  • Tap Done

  • If applicable, adjust the discount in the Edit Discount screen

    1. The applied discount will display, set the value of the discount as either a percentage or dollar amount off

    2. Tap Save to return to the Terminal transaction

    1. To reach the Discounts screen, tap Extras below the transaction price (See above for instructions on Checking In)

    2. Tap Discounts

    3. Tap Add Discount

    4. Input the Discount Name

    5. Input the discount Amount and select percentage or dollar

    6. Tap Done

    7. Tap Save

    8. Press the ← Back arrow to return to the terminal

    9. The discount has been applied

    10. Complete the transaction as normal
