Menu Upkeep

Menu upkeep for multi location organizations (businesses with numerous sites) is easy to handle in the SpotOn Restaurant POS system. There are sections throughout the BOH named “Location Specific Settings” that house global settings and within these sections there is an “Edit Specific Locations” button that will bring up an individual site to edit. In the Location Specific Settings, the settings that can be configured are the same as the global settings pages, however, any changes made only apply to the specific Location selected.

For example, if all but one of the Locations in a chain has a Happy Hour for cocktails, you can remove the Happy Hour pricing from the location that doesn’t do a Happy Hour in the Location Specific Settings. Or, perhaps one Location in an Organization is in another state, with a different Sales Tax amount than the other Locations. You are able to utilize the Location Specific Settings in these instances.

The Edit Specific Locations button is found under the Location Specific Settings section

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there are four sections:

  • Location Specific Settings: able to adjust Price, Availability, Requisition Settings and Quantity on Hand

  • Taxes: able to set Taxes applicable to each Location

  • Pricing Events: displays all associated Pricing Events

  • Modifiers: option to change Modifier Display Mode

4. Click the Menu Items tab in the top left corner to toggle back to the global Menu Item settings

Modifier Groups

The Edit Specific Locations button is a little hidden

  • Select a Modifier Group then select the Edit Modifiers button

  • From the list of Modifiers, select a Modifier

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there is one section:

  • Location Specific Settings: Pricing, Requisition Name, and Availability

4. Click the Modifier Groups tab in the top left corner to toggle back to the global Modifier Group settings

Modifiers

The Edit Specific Locations button is listed under the Pricing section.

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there is one section:

  • Location Specific Settings: Pricing, Requisition Name, and Availability

4. Click the Modifiers tab in the top left corner to toggle back to the global Modifiers settings

Pricing Events

The Edit Specific Locations button is listed at the bottom of the page under the Event Items section

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there are four sections:

  • Availability- enable/disable the Pricing Event

  • Order Type- Order Types included in the Pricing Event

  • Schedule- edit the schedule of the Pricing Event at this Location

  • Event Items- add/remove Items and adjust how the Pricing Event impacts Items

4. Click the Pricing Events tab in the top left corner to return to the global Pricing Events settings

Discounts

The Edit Specific Locations button is listed at the bottom of the page under the Available Groups/Items section

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there are four sections:

  • Settings- enable/disable the Discount, and Prompt for Note

  • Order Types- select the Order Types the Discount is applicable to

  • Schedule- edit the Schedule of the Discount at this Location

  • Available Groups/Items- indicate what items the Discount applies to

4. Click the Discounts tab in the top left corner to return to the global Discounts settings

Taxes

The Edit Specific Locations button is listed under the Location Specific Settings

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate Location to edit

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there is one section:

  • Location Specific Settings- Adjust the Tax Rates for specific Order Types

4. Tap Taxes tab in the top left corner to return to the global Taxes settings

Tip Jars

The Edit Specific Settings button is located under the Location Specific Settings

1. Click the Edit Specific Locations button to select a specific Location in the Organization to edit

2. Select the appropriate location

3. In the Edit Specific Locations page there is one section:

  • Settings- Enable/disable and Percentage of Tip Jar

4. Click the Tip Jars tab in the top left to return to the global Tip Jar settings
