Create a Discount

Action	Display
1. From the main BOH screen, select the Discounts icon
Any existing Discounts will display in the left hand panel 2. Click the New Item icon ( + ) to create a new Discount
3. Use the Name field, in the General Information section, to name the new Discount 4. From the drop down menu select the appropriate Discount Type Amount Off Percent Off Popup Amount Off Popup Percent Off Popup Set Price Price Level Set Price
5. Input the Discount Value, based on the Discount Type Selected 6. Enter Minimum Order Amount in the the text field 7. Enter Maximum Discount Amount in the text field
8. Tick the appropriate boxes for the new Discount Auto Apply On Send Can Only Be Used Once Per Order
9. Select the appropriate Availability check boxes: Enabled: Turns the Discount on/off Prompt For Note: Forces an Adjustment Reason to be attached to the Discount`
10. Select the appropriate Order Types that the discount can be applied to 11. Select the Job Positions permitted to apply the Discount 12. Select any Adjustment Reasons that apply to this Discount 13. If the Discount is set to be on a Schedule, follow the instructions on how to Schedule a Pricing Event
14. Tick the checkbox Available For Only The Items Below if the new Discount is Item Exclusive The New Item button will populate an entry into the list Kind: Set to either Menu Item or Menu Item Group Group/Item: Select the appropriate Menu Item or Menu Item Group the Discount is meant for Edit Specific Locations allows for Location specific handling

Discount Button Order Sorting

Choose the order in which Discounts display in the Select Discount menu on the FOH. If no Sort Order option is input, Discounts will display alphabetically.

1. From the main BOH screen select the Discounts icon
2. Select the desired Discount from the left hand panel 3. In the General Information section, use the Sort Order field to input the numerical position in which this Discount with display
4. Repeat as needed for other Discounts
When adding a Discount in the FOH, the Discounts will now display in your preferred order

Create Discount Promo Codes for SpotOn Order

Promo codes are for use by customers and guests online to access discounts, and are set up in the BOH.

Action	Display
1. Click the Locations icon Select the desired Location(s)
2. In the Settings section, tick the Accept Promo Code Discount checkbox
3. Use the above steps from Create a Discount to create a discount for SpotOn Order It is good practice to name the discount in a similar fashion to the promo code you will use, to avoid confusion
4. Scroll to the Promo Code section of the discount and click the Add/Update button
5. In the Add/Update Discount Promo Code pop up, input the desired promo code Promo codes cannot have any spaces 6. Check the Available checkbox 7. Click Save You will see a green Success! popup
8. In the Order Types section, select the SpotOn Order types this discount applies to 9. In the Permissions section, select the designated SpotOn Order User This discount will affect the entire order, promo codes cannot be created for use on a single item
