Activating Servers on a Schedule to a Section

Servers that are not assigned to a chart, will display under the Active Tab, beneath the Scheduled banner. Scheduled servers that are not assigned to a chart need to be manually assigned to tables. Servers that are assigned to a chart, will display beneath the meal period banner they are assigned to. Please see Assigning Servers to Sections Using a Chart for additional information.

Manual Server Assignment

Action

Display

  1. Tap Server-Mode (bell icon) in the top right panel below the current user’s avatar

  2. Three column choices will appear in the left hand panel:

    • Active - Currently assigned servers

    • Inactive- All available servers awaiting assignment

    • Sched - Scheduling servers ahead of time (more on using this option in another tutorial)

  3. Select the Inactive panel to display your available servers

  4. Tap the name of the server you wish to assign

  5. Tap the table you wish to assign the server to.

  6. Repeat as necessary for table assignments

NOTE: The Relieve Server option is not available when using manual server assignments

Activate a Server and Their Chart Section

When the server is ready to begin their shift, their section can be activated in the chart.

Action

Display

  1. From the Active tab, tap the desired server name to select

  2. Press Activate Tables

    • The now active tables will change from gray to the assigned server’s color

    • The selected table section and server will now display under the Main Floor section of the Active tab

  3. Repeat for each server that you wish to put on the floor

Relieve Server

  1. Select the desired Server from the Active tab

  2. Tap Relieve

    • The tables will be deactivated and return to the gray color

    • The server name will now display beneath the meal period or schedule banner for their shift, for later reactivation

NNOTE: The Relieve Server option is not available when using manual server assignments
