Editing Footers

Follow these steps to edit the bottom portion of your website - the Footer.

The website footer is the bottom portion of your website. It contains a Title and Small Subtitle, Social Icons, and Copyright information.

Unlike other sections, the website footer cannot be deleted, duplicated, added, or moved, only edited.

Most themes allow for customization of the footer like changing the Title, Subtitle, Social Links, Footer Navigation, and Copyright, as well as editing the fonts and colors through the styles menu. The Sofia theme is the best theme for footer customization as it includes a number of new features.

To Edit the Title and Subtitle

  1. Position your mouse over the header and click Edit.

  2. Under General, click the Text Logo box.

  3. Type a Title/Subtitle for your website.

  4. Save Changes.

To Use a Logo Instead of a Title

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Under General, click the Image Logo box.

  3. Upload Logo.

  4. Adjust the size using the bar under Image Size or use the actual size by checking the box.

  5. Save Changes.

To Add a Brief Description, Slogan, or Additional Text

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Under General, check the Description box.

  3. Add a Brief Description, Slogan, or any Additional Text you would like to include.

  4. Save Changes

To Display Accepted Payment Method Icons

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Under General, check the Payment Icons box.

  3. Check the card icons you would like to include.

  4. Save Changes.

To Display Social Links in the Footer

  1. Position your mouse over the header and click Edit.

  2. Under General, check the Show Social Links box.

  3. Enter the URL for each social link you would like to include. Leave empty to hide the icon.

  4. Save Changes.

To Show/Hide Footer Navigation

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Under General, check/uncheck the Display Navigation Bar box.

  3. Save Changes.

To Add Contact Information

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Click Contact.

  3. Check the Contact box.

  4. Add Phone, Address, or Email.

  5. Save Changes.

To Add a Copyright Statement

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Click Copyright.

  3. Check the Copyright Statement box.

  4. Add a copyright statement.

  5. Save Changes.

To Add Buttons to the Footer

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Select Copyright.

  3. Check the Show Button A or B box. 

  4. Save Changes.

To Show/Hide “Made with SpotOn”

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Select Copyright.

  3. Check/uncheck Show "Made With SpotOn".

  4. Save Changes.

To Edit the Title/Subtitle and Copyright

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Add a Title/Subtitle.

  3. You may add copyright information in the Mini Footer.

  4. Save Changes.

To Show/Hide Footer Navigation

  1. Position your mouse over the footer and click Edit.

  2. Check/uncheck the Show Site Navigation box.

  3. Save Changes.

To Display Social Links in the Footer

  1. Position your mouse over the header and click Edit.

  2. Check the Show Social Links box.

  3. Enter the URL for each social link you would like to include. Leave empty to hide the icon.

  4. Save Changes.
