Setup Default/Start/Home Screen on SOH

1. Login to the BOH with your email and password and in the Administrative section click on Station Types.

2. Once you’re in station types next use the drop down menu next to Start Screen to select an option.


3. If you select Caller ID, Customer Lookup, Driver Management, or Payments as your start screen then when you login on the SOH you will need to choose from the options below which screen to go to.

3. If you select List Orders as your start screen, then when you login on the SOH you will land on the screen with the list of orders.

4. If you select Menu as your start screen, then when you login on the SOH you will land on the screen with the menu items.

5. If you select Table Layout as your start screen, then when you login on the SOH you will land on the screen with the list of tables.


After Auto Close Action

1. You can also choose what your start screen will be after you close an order by using the After Auto Close Action drop down menu in Station Types.


2. If you select Do Nothing, then after you close an order you will land on the screen where you need to select from Table Layout, Quick Sale, List Order, or Reopen Order.



3. If you select Go To Start Screen, then after you close an order you will see the screen you selected as your Start Screen.

4. If you select Logout, then after you close an order you will be logged out automatically from the app.

Online Orders Notification

1. Login to the BOH with your email and password and in the Administrative section click on Station Types.

2. Once in Station Type check off Online Order Notification to enable notifications of online orders to A920.

3. If Online Order Notifications is enabled, then after a guest of a restaurant completes an online order the SOH will display a notification of the incoming online order.

Notifications will only appear on the List Order screen. If you are on the Menu or Payments screen then you will need to return back to the List Order screen to see the new notifications that come in. If you are on any other screen of the SOH, then after ten seconds you will be brought back to the Order List screen where you will see the online ordering notifications. However, if you are on the order view screen and there are unsent items then the ten seconds will not apply and you will need to send/remove the unsent item to either have the ten seconds kick in or return to the List Order screen to receive online ordering notifications.

5. If you select View the SOH will direct you to Order View screen.

6. If you select Mark as Read the notification will clear from the screen and not return. Additionally since it was only the notification that was Marked as Read on the List Order screen the new online order will still have the blue border and will be displayed in Not Viewed section.

Online orders are grouped into two sections:

  • Not Viewed at the top with blue borders - these are all new online orders that you received, which were not viewed yet

  • Viewed at the bottom without blue borders - already viewed ones

If you tap on one of the new online order from Not Viewed section, to open Order View screen and then close it, you’ll find this order grouped as Viewed.

1. On the SOH in the Order View screen if you tap the order number.

The changes we did for this screen are:

  1. Removed the EPOS OLO since all online orders have EPOS OLO as the server

  2. Highlighted the schedule time

  3. Release time.

    1. After release time has passed it will then reflect the date and time the order was released.

  4. Added address

  5. Added notes

  6. Separated the information on the screen to make it visually easier to see

1. Log into the BOH and go into Station Types.

2. In Station Types you now use the option of List order Override- Order Source and List order Override- Order Status to select which order source and order status you want to have appear on the SOH when using filters.

3. Additionally if you use the drop down menu you can set your default sorting preference when you are using the SOH look up orders from the List order screen.

4. On the SOH you can also manually set your view order filters by going to the List Order Screen and selecting Filters in the top right.

Details Screen

Bluetooth Printer

1. Login to the BOH with your email and password and in the Administrative section click on Printers.

2. Once in the Printers section using the Model drop down menu select the option Epson M30.

3. Using the Kind drop down menu select the option for Local.

4. Using the Connection drop down menu select the option for Bluetooth.

5. Power on printer and wait for the LEDs to stop blinking.

5. Go into the SpotOn app and either in Table Layout or the login screen select Printer status.

7. Select the Search Printer button.

Note: If the device is using Android version 6 or above you will need to go into the the Android setting. In app manager select the SpotOn app. Then in permissions enable all (e.g. location, camera, microphone, audio, storage)

8. From the list of printer tap on the TM-M30ii printer you want to connect to.

9. After tapping the printer you will see a notification that you can connected to the printer.

10. Shortly following the notification that the TM-M-30ii was connected the you’ll need to press Pair. This will complete the setup and you can now print to the Epsom TM-M30ii.

11. There is not currently a way to reprint the kitchen requisition ticket. This feature is coming in the next phase, until then you’ll need to setup print fail over for the kitchen requisitions.

To start this process you’ll need to go into the BOH and select Print Failover.

Once in Print Failover press the plus button to add a new print failover.

Click on New Print Failover which is under the No Location. Enter in a Name for the print failover and use the Location drop down menu to select the location.

After enter in a name and selecting a location put a number 1 next to the printer you want to failover to.

Exit out of Print Failover and go into Printers. Then check off Enable Print Failover and use the Print Failover Plan drop down menu menu to select the failover you just created.

You will also need to set up a table layout even though the restaurant may not use it. In the BOH click on Table Layout

Click on the plus icon at the bottom left to create a new table layout

Then enter in a name for the new table layout

Use the Location dropdown menu to select where the table layout will be applied to.

Press the Edit Layout button.

Press the plus button to add a table to the layout. You can use any of the option to adjust the size or shape of the tablet. In the Table Number entry field key in a number. Finally press Submit.
