Take-Out Orders and Notifications

The same text paging system SpotOn Reserve uses for Waitlist parties is also available for Take-Out order notifications. Take-Out bubbles appear in the left hand panel of the Main Floor view below all reservations and waitlist parties, and are displayed in the Schedule view at the time entered.

Set up Take-Out Notification

Action

Display

  1. From the Main Floor screen, tap the blue Take Out button in the lower right hand corner of the screen

  2. Enter the quoted Estimated Wait Time (in minutes)

  3. Input the guest mobile phone number

  4. A take-out profile will display with the guest’s infomation

    • Tap New Take Out Note to add a note, i.e., an order number, special requests, or other important details

Change Take-Out Order Status

Action

Display

  1. Tap the desired take-out bubble from the left hand panel of the screen

    • This will pull up the take-out profile

  2. Press the blue Order Status button on the upper left side

  3. Select a status:

    • Making Order

    • Cooking

    • Ready in Restaurant

    • Curbside

  4. Press the X to exit the profile

    • The new status will display in the take-out bubble

Send Notification to Guest

Action

Display

  1. When the order is ready, tap the guest’s take-out bubble from the left hand panel of the screen to select them

  2. Press the green Page button at the top of the screen

Note: A beacon will display on the waitlist bubble to indicate that the guest has been paged. Also, the time elapsed since paging will be shown in the green Page button box beneath the word PAGE.

Complete Take-Out Order

Action

Display

  1. To close a take-out order, open the desired take-out profile by double tapping the guest’s take-out bubble in the left hand panel of the Main Floor view.

  2. Tap the red Complete button in the upper left corner of the profile and select one of the following options:

    • Picked Up

    • No Show

    • Cancel

When a take-out order is Completed, it will be removed from the waitlist
