Create New Employee

"Employees" are the individual employees at specific Locations.  As the employees are likely to change over time, restaurant owners/managers should be familiar with how to add/edit Employees.

Action

Display

  1. Tap the employees icon

  2. Tap the New Item icon ( + ) to create a new employee

  3. In the General Information section use the Text Fields to input the new employee’s details

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Notes (Optional)

    • Nickname (Optional- the set Nickname will display on receipts)

    • Email (Input Employee email if they require BOH access)

    • Date of Birth

  4. In the Payroll Information section use the Text Fields to input the new employee’s Payroll details

    • Hire Date

    • Termination Date (If applicable)

    • Filing Status

    • Compeat ID

5. In the Address section use the Text Fields to input contact details of the new employee

6. In the POS Location Assignments section tap the Edit Assignments button

7. Click on New Employee from the column on the left, select Add Location, select the location the new employee will work at, click Ok

8. In the employee Location - General Information section use the Text Fields to input:

  • Login Code- create a unique log in pin for the new employee

  • Swipe Code- used in lieu of Login Code if new employee has a manager Swipe Card

  • Payroll ID- input Employee Payroll ID number

10. Tap the newly added Location from the left column and select Add Job Position

 11. Select the Job Position for the new employee to work under, click Ok

 12. In the Employee Job - General Information section you can input a Pay Rate for the new employee.

  • Pay Rates can be set globally from the Job Positions section of BOH and then further refined locally from this section, i.e., a Busser starts off at $9.00/hr then earns a merit raise of $0.50 that only applies to that employee.

 13. If the new employee will have multiple Job Positions repeat steps 10 and 11 accordingly

 14. Verify the new employee has the ability to clock into the Job Position(s) via the FOH

  • No labels
