Print Routing
Each Print Route that is setup has one or more corresponding requisition groups.
Print Routes are used to send “like” items to the different stations around the restaurant.
Often restaurants will have numerous bars, a kitchen, and “special” kitchen stations where menu items are prepped.
If there are numerous bars then the Bar requisition group would suffice and the various routes would be created based off station names, i.e., Bar Left, Bar Middle, Bar Right, etc..
If the restaurant has a complex kitchen with numerous requisition groups, then simply more requisition groups would need to be created.
Requisition groups for the individual special station, i.e., Bar Left.
Requisition groups for the combination of stations needed, i.e., (Bar Left / Kitchen / Bar Right) or (Bar Middle / Kitchen / Bar Left)
In conjunction with the combination requisition groups create Print Routes that include the needed stations, i.e., (Bar Left / Kitchen / Bar Right) or (Bar Middle / Kitchen / Bar Left)

Printer Rerouting
If there is a secure wireless network, you can route a Tablet through a local connection to the terminal to enable printing through a Remote Printer. Please see Tablet Routing for detailed setup instructions.
Conditional Print Routing
Conditional Print Routes are used to ensure the Menu Items with different preparation times can be made and served in a way the ensures food quality. Nobody wants a plate of food where the main attraction is cold because a side item takes longer to prepare. Conditional Print Routes are made so a chef can stage the plating and serving of Menu Items accordingly.
For example, a Customer orders Onion Rings (App) to pair with their Grilled Chicken Salad (Expo/Grill). The problem with making these Menu Items as they are sent is that Onion Rings can take 4-6 minutes to fry, while the Grilled Chicken is likely ready to go during service hours. If the chef were to remove the chicken from the grill after assembling the salad, only a few minutes will have passed. The Grilled Chicken Salad would be moved to the heat lamp while the Onion Rings are still being prepared. This leads to poor food quality.
When Conditional Print Routing is used the chef at the Expo/Grill can see they need to hold off on constructing the Grilled Chicken Salad until the Onion Rings are prepared. This will allow chefs in the kitchen to organize their food service in a way that keeps food fresh and ready to serve together.

A Failover Print Route is an alternate printer route that will automatically print should the default printer fail.
