Enhanced Send & Pay

As part of Payment Flow enhancements, we are happy to present an updated Send & Pay workflow.  Users can now initiate quick send and pay with a single tap from the order summary screen reducing the number of clicks required to send and/or pay for an order.

Updated Interactions:

  • “Send” (previously send and close):

    • Tapping this button will send items and take user back to table layout

  • Lighting Bolt Icon (previously quick send):

    • Tapping this button will send items and take user back to menu to easily add additional items to the check

  • “Pay” (previously send and pay)

    • Tapping this button will send items and take user to payment options

      • Select Payment Method

      • Split Balance and Pay (Split by %)

  • CC Icon

    • Tapping this button will send items and take user directly to CC payment


End of Day

SpotOn Serve will now support Manual End of Day.

End of Day Permissions (BOH)

Action

Display

1. Click the Job Positions icon

2. Select the Job Position(s) that will be able to End Day

3. Scroll to Permissions

4. In the Cash Management section, check the End Day checkbox


End of Day Process

Please note, this process is only available on versions 3.2.1 and above

1. Select User icon in the top left corner to open the UserSettings drop-down menu

2. Select End of Day

3. Close any Open Orders

If there are open orders there will be a purple banner letting you know that all orders need to be closed.

If a new order is created, or an order reopened while in the End of Day screen, a notification will appear advising order statuses have changed. You will be prompted to refresh the screen to update the End of Day information.

4. When all orders have been closed, a notification will display, prompting you to Go to End Day

5. To clock out employees from the End of Day screen you can press the menu overflow buttons (three dots in the top right) and select Clocked in Employees, or press the next arrow in the lower right, which will direct you to the clock out screen

6. To clock an employee out press the Clock Out button

7. After clocking all employees out, you’ll be returned back to the End of Day screen and see a notification that you are the only person left clocked in

8. You can print your End of day report on your receipt printer by going to the menu overflow buttons (three dots in top right) and press the Print Report button

  • A notification will appear letting you know the report has been printed

9. Press End Day

10. A prompt will appear on the screen asking for confirmation

  • To return to the End of Day screen press No, Thanks

  • To proceed press Yes, End Day

11. On the End of Day success popup, press Continue

12. If you are ready to clock out, press Yes, Clock out

  • To remain logged in, tap No, thanks


Improvements

  • Logs enhancements; added serial number for A77 and A920 Pro that should be visible at the end of the log file sent from the app

  • Added navigation to the Menu Screen with the order at the top when tapping on open order


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with selected Loyalty reward not being displayed on Total Summary screen 

  • Fixed Apply button not being enabled right away after opening Filters 

  • Fixed issue with “You have unsent items" message blocking flow after cancelling an unsent order 

  • Fixed issue with success banner presents in the portrait mode on the PIN screen 

  • Fixed issue with default order type for station type but not available at given location causing app to crash 

  • Fixed issue with "Void Items" screen constantly appearing when a user tries to void multiple items

  • Fixed app crashing when a user taps an item on the "Menu“ screen or taps the order on the "Menu“ screen to open it

  • Fixed incorrectly displayed Menu items with the same categories or without any category

  • Added wrapping for long Menu Screen names to prevent overlapping with other UI parts
