Cash Drawer Assignments

With the SpotOn Restaurant POS, you have the ability to assign cash drawers to specific Users. Using this feature prevents the cash drawers from opening unless the User is assigned, and clocked in. However, the cash drawers will still open for Managers and Full Access Job Position Users.

Cash drawers will always automatically open for managers

Cash Drawer Assignments will remain in place until they are manually updated

BOH Setup

Display

1. Click on the Stations icon from the main BOH screen

2. Select the desired Station(s) from the Stations list on the left

3. In the Settings section, check the Use Cash Drawer Assignments checkbox

For each station selected, the cash drawer will no longer open, unless cash drawers are assigned on the FOH Station

You must repeat this process on all Stations that have the Use Cash Drawer Assignments checkbox selected in the Stations Settings in the BOH

1. At each Station, press the Show Commands button

2. Select Assign Cash Drawer

3. In the Cash Drawer Assignment screen, select the desired User(s) from the Unassigned Users column

4. Drag and drop the selected User(s) from the Unassigned Users column into the Cash Drawer column to the right

5. Tap Done to save

6. Repeat as needed with each Station

Speed Login

  • Users that are clocked in, and assigned to the cash drawer will be able to utilize the Speed Login button to bypass the login code entry

  1. To enable or disable this feature, navigate to Stations in the BOH

  2. Select the desired Stations from the list on the left

  3. In the Settings section, check the Speed Login Enabled checkbox to utilize this feature
