There are BOH admin settings to hide menu items from search and/or exclude menu items from online & third-party ordering. 

Hide Menu Items from Item Search

There is an option under Menu Item settings that prevents the selected item from appearing in the Item Search feature. When “Hidden From Search” is enabled on a menu item, that item will not appear in search results on the POS. 

Action

Display

  1. Tap Menu Items

  2. Select the Menu Item that will be hidden

  3. In the General Information section, check the Hidden From Search checkbox

Item will not display in the Item Search in the FOH

Exclude Menu Item from Online Ordering

Action

Display

  1. Tap Menu Items

  2. Select the Menu Item to Exclude from SpotOn Order / Third Party Ordering

  3. Scroll to the Online Ordering Settings section

  4. Check the Exclude From Online Ordering or Exclude From Third Party Ordering checkbox(es)
