If I submit a referral that SpotOn already has in their system, will I still receive a referral bonus?

No. If you submit a referral for a business already having a sales conversation with  our team, it is not eligible for a payout. We will email you after we have reviewed the referral to let you know that it is/is not eligible. You can also check the status of your referrals in your dashboard. Note: Only eligible referrals will be listed on your referral dashboard. 


I want to refer a business but my Dashboard isn’t set up. Can I still make a referral?

No. All referrals must be submitted through the SpotOn Dashboard to qualify for the referral bonus. If you’re having issues getting set up, please contact your account executive or contact SpotOn at support@spoton.com or call  (877) 814-4102.  


A business I want to refer was a previous SpotOn client, but has changed ownership. Are they eligible for a referral?

No. Rebooks, including COO/COB (Change of Ownership and Change of Business), are not eligible for referrals. 


I want to refer a business, but I have past-due balances. Am I eligible?

Clients can submit referrals at any time, but must be in good standing with no past-due balances to be eligible for a referral bonus payout. 


I referred a client a few months ago who has upgraded to more SpotOn products. Am I eligible for the higher payout?

No. Clients cannot request a higher payout after their referred client has signed and activated. 


What are the activation thresholds that need to be met for my referral reward to be paid? When will I be paid?  

Clients who refer a Retail POS business will be rewarded when their referral reaches $1,000 in processing.  Clients who refer a Restaurant POS business will be rewarded when their referral reaches $10,000 in processing. An additional $1,000 bonus will be rewarded to clients who refer a new restaurant POS business that processes over $25,000 per month for the first full three months after activation. Please refer to the SpotOn Referral Terms and Conditions for detailed information on reward payouts. Rewards will be paid within 30 days of activation.  


I referred a business but they have not activated their account. Will I still get paid?

We only pay rewards once the referred business activates their account. This means that if your referral is a retail business they must process $1,000 before we issue a reward, and if they are a restaurant business they must process $10,000 before we issue a reward.


I want to refer a multi-location business/franchise. What is the process? 

To receive reward payouts for a referred business with more than one location you will need to enter each location into your dashboard.
