There are BOH settings that allow you to hide menu items from search, exclude menu items from online & third-party ordering, and even to exclude menu items from printing on receipts.
Hide Menu Items from Item Search
There is an option under Menu Item settings that prevents the selected item from appearing in the Item Search feature. When “Hidden From Search” is enabled on a menu item, that item will not appear in search results on the POS.

Exclude Menu Items from Online Ordering
This feature is very useful when a restaurant does not wish to sell certain items, such as alcohol or specialty items, via Online Ordering.

Hide Menu Items from Guest Checks/Receipts
