SpotOn Merchant Referral Terms & Conditions
Clients will be eligible for a referral reward for any new business they refer to SpotOn Transact LLC (“SpotOn”) by filling out the referral form on their dashboard, which should include the referred business name, contact name, email address, and phone number. Clients will also be eligible to receive a referral reward for any new business that uses their dedicated referral link.

*Activation happens when a new business using SpotOn Restaurant POS processes $25,000 in card payments. Or when a new business using SpotOn retail POS processes $25,000 in card payments. Referral submission happens when a referral is entered using the SpotOn dashboard or when a prospective referral uses a referral link to enter their own contact information. Referral bonuses are not eligible for existing SpotOn clients or prospects.

*Activation happens when a new business using SpotOn Restaurant POS processes $10,000 in card payments. Or when a new business using SpotOn retail POS processes $1,000 in card payments.
**Referral submission happens when a referral is entered using the SpotOn dashboard or when a prospective referral uses a referral link to enter their own contact information.
Referral bonuses are not eligible for existing SpotOn clients or prospects. All referrals submitted from 5/1/2024-8/31/2024 that activate after 4 months (120 days) will default to the general bonus offer.
SpotOn will pay Clients their reward via an ACH credit to their account on file within thirty (30) days of referred business activation. Clients will see this reflected on their dashboard statement as a “referral bonus.”
July 2024 - Referral Promotion
July 1 - July 31, 2024
Refer eligible* restaurant prospects to SpotOn in the month of July and you will be entered into a drawing for $5K towards upgrades for your business. Enhance your dining area, or simply stock up on essential supplies? One lucky winner will be chosen from a random draw from all eligible restaurant referrals submitted in July. Every eligible restaurant referral will count as an entry into the drawing.

*Eligible restaurant referrals must be submitted through the referral dashboard and include the referred restaurant's name, contact name, contact email, and phone number or by sharing a dedicated referral link (filled out by an eligible prospect directly). Disqualified leads are not eligible for this promotion and include, but are not limited to, existing prospects and clients.
Eligible entries are only for restaurant referrals entered into the dashboard or submitted using a referral link from 12am PST July 1 – 11:59pm July 31, 2024. All eligible restaurant referrals will be gathered into a database and the recipient will be chosen via random selection conducted on August 4, 2024. Prize includes a $5,000 cash value reward which SpotOn will pay via ACH credit to the winners account on file within 30 days of drawing . Payments of all federal, state, and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the recipient.

Earn an entry for every eligible referral submitted through the dashboard—even if they don’t activate. One lucky winner will be chosen from a random drawing from all eligible restaurant referrals submitted in June. Winner will be selected July 8.
Trip to the 2025 National Restaurant Association meeting includes return airfare for two from the client's home state, three (3) nights hotel stay in Chicago, entry for two (2) into the 2025 National Restaurant Association meeting, and a stipend of $2000.

General offer (doubled!): Earn $2k (instead of $1k) for any SpotOn Restaurant referral upon activation.
Tiered bonus: Earn $3k for every third restaurant POS referral made (instead of $2k) upon activation. See chart below.
New restaurant openings: Earn $3k for every new restaurant opening you refer, upon activation. A new restaurant opening is defined as a restaurant with all new construction or a new concept build-out.

Referral bonuses are not eligible for existing SpotOn clients or prospects. Offers can not be stacked. $3,000 is the max payout per referral from 1/1/2024 - 4/30/2024. All referrals submitted from 1/1/2024-4/30/2024 that activate after 4/30/2024 will default to the general bonus offer (see below).

Clients who refer a new restaurant POS business that processes over $25,000 per month for their first three months after activation will receive an additional $1,000 bonus.
General offer
Clients who refer a new retail POS business to SpotOn Transact LLC (“SpotOn”) will be awarded 250 USD if the referred business activates within 12 months of the referral.*
Clients who refer a new SpotOn Restaurant POS business will be awarded 1,000 USD if the referred restaurant business activates within 12 months of the referral.*
Note: This is the general referral bonus offer when there are no active promotions or when a referral activates outside of the campaign date parameters.

Ineligibility
Referrals will be ineligible and declined when:
Referrals not submitted through the SpotOn Dashboard or through the Client’s dedicated shareable link will be declined, and the Clients will not receive rewards.
Clients can not refer their own businesses or any business they are a partner in.
The signed application date cannot be before the referral entry date.
SpotOn has sole discretion to decline referrals that are already existing SpotOn client opportunities or relationships, or were previously contacted directly or indirectly (i.e. through referral partners such as our Ally Program). Such referrals are not eligible for rewards.
SpotOn has sole discretion to decline referrals that are businesses SpotOn does not reasonably desire to do business with (i.e. businesses not in compliance with applicable laws or do not align with SpotOn ethics policies).
Rebooks, including COO (Change of Ownership), COB (Change of Business), and name changes, are not eligible for referrals.
Example: A client refers a location that was previously a SpotOn client that is being sold to a new owner or changing the business name and setting up a new account under the same business entity.
Client accounts must be in good standing with no past-due balances to be eligible for a referral bonus payment.
Referring Clients who are inactive and have not processed over $100 USD during the past 6 months are ineligible for a referral bonus. However, once Clients process over $100 USD they may be rewarded their referral bonus.
If a referred business cancels prior to the referred business’ activation, no reward will be given.
If there is a referral promotion or special offer, the referral must be submitted before the *pre-established date (based on promotion duration) to qualify.
Requests for higher bonus payouts will not be fulfilled in the case where a Client makes a referral, and the referred business signs up for a lesser product and then months later upgrades to a product with a higher bonus payout.
Example: *Client makes a referral, and the referred business signs up for retail POS and is paid a $50 referral bonus. Months later, the referred business signs up for Restaurant POS, and the Client who made the initial referral requests a $1,000 referral bonus.
SpotOn Account Executives (“AE”) who own a business cannot refer a business from their dashboard account for a referral bonus. They will not be paid twice as a referrer and as an AE.
If a SpotOn AE’s spouse is an existing SpotOn client (signed and managed by a spouse), the AE’s spouse is not eligible to make referrals.
If the referred customer cancels within the first 12 months, as stated on the proposal, the referred customer will be responsible to pay SpotOn for the $500 or $100 equipment discount they received at signing.
Terms and Conditions may be updated or changed at SpotOn’s sole discretion at any time. Clients who make referrals to SpotOn after the changed terms and conditions consent to such updated or changed Terms and Conditions by continuing to make referrals to SpotOn.
