Menu Item Creation - Best Practices | SpotOn Restaurant BOH

When creating new menu items in the SpotOn Back of House, it’s best practice to duplicate an previously programmed item.

  1. Select the Menu Item Group that the new Item needs to be located in

Example: Adding Founders All Day IPA to the Alcoholic Beverages Menu Item Group

2. Select Edit Menu Items

3. A list of existing Menu Items will display for the selected group

4. Select an existing Menu Item that is configured with the same settings required for the new Menu Item and select Duplicate

Example displayed: Martel

5. Update the Name of the Menu Item to the name of the new one that is being added

6. Update the pricing, modifier group, or other settings that require adjustments as needed

Refer to other items in the same group to see which settings are needed if required
