1. Tap the Order Types icon

2. Tap the New Item icon ( + ) to create a new Order Type

3. In the text field of General Information create a name for the new Order Type

4. In Settings configure settings based on the new Order Type needs:

Price Level: Use this to set a Price Level to use for all Menu Items

Customer Attachment Requirement: determines what customer information is required for the Order Type, i.e., Delivery would require name, phone, and address, while Pick Up may only require name and phone number

Print Customer Info On Reqs: check box to print Customer Info on kitchen chits

Print Order Type In Red on Reqs: check box to highlight Order Type on kitchen chits in red

Print Customer Info On Receipts: check box to print Customer Info on itemized receipt

Print Customer Info on Sign Slips: check box to print Customer Info on sign slips

Show "For the Table" on Tickets: check box to specify a Guest that holds all the shared items before they are split

5. Under Display Settings the verbiage for the Customer(s) on the receipts can be edited, i.e., singular vs plural verbiage

6. In Order Type Tip Settings adjust Tip settings if needed

  • Please note: Tip Settings set at the Order Type level will override Tip Settings set at the Locations level

Allow Tips on Order Type: check box to enable/disable tips on Order Type

Override Location Suggested Tip Percentages: check box to override the Tip Percentages set up on the Locations page

Suggested Tip Percentages: 3 text fields to input suggested Tip Percentages

Default Tip Percentages: selection between the above 3 fields or No Tip

7. Automatically Applied Surcharges: List of Surcharges to check to apply to Order Type

8. Receipt Settings: contains text field to input Footer Notes

  • Footer Notes: Text field to input a custom receipt message for this specific Order Type
