Completing an order on Mobile RPOS Handhelds follows the same procedure as the full POS Front-of-House. For information on how to manage & complete an order on the full SpotOn Restaurant POS, please refer to this series of articles.

Starting the Order1. Tap on the SpotOn screen and log in to begin | |
2. Select a menu item to start an order | Starting the Order |
3. If prompted, select from the item’s Modifiers
If applicable, you can slide the top toolbar from side-to-side to scroll between different modifiers  4. Select Done at the bottom of the Modifier menu when ready to continue |  |
5. If prompted, select from the item’s Subgroups (in this example, the item’s choice of side dishes) and select Done to finish adding the item to the order and return to the menu screen  |  |
Sending the Order6. Once all menu items have been rung in, select the Send button at the top of the screen to send the items to the kitchen for preparation. Â Items that have not yet been sent to the kitchen can be identified by a green dot indicating that the item is still being worked with. Once the Send button has been press, the item has been send for preparation and the indicator will disappear | Â Â Â Â |
Closing the Order7. Retrieve the order on the handheld and tap the blue Pay button at the top of the display | Â Â Â |
8. The payment screen will appear, displaying the total and prompt for a credit card payment (the default payment type).  If the customer would like to pay with a different tender, swipe down from the payment screen and select a different payment method (cash, gift card, etc.) to continue  |     |
9. Once the desired payment amount and type is set, select Apply Payment at the bottom of the screen. The system will accept the payment and close out the order. | Â |
