Tax Exempt | SpotOn Restaurant (FOH)

Taxes apply to most transactions made in a restaurant. However, there are occasions when certain transactions are exempt from taxation in restaurants. The most common reason is if the guest is a tax-exempt entity, such as a nonprofit organization or a government agency. Tax exemption certificates are what allow a guest to make tax-free purchases.

The Spot On restaurant POS system offers the business an easy way to apply tax exemptions.

Each certificate has a unique identification number that will be needed every time taxes are removed from a transaction. The certificate will act as proof for future audits and inspections from the IRS.
