Send deals via email and Facebook to all guests or specific ones based on data collected from your POS and online orders to get the most updated information about your top spenders, lapsed guests, and more. Head to the Marketing section of your SpotOn Dashboard to get started.
What Types of Restaurant Deals Can I Create?
With the first release of marketing deals, restaurant clients can create two types of deals:
Percent off
Dollar-off
The percentage amount will be taken off the entire order before the tip.
Who Can Redeem the Deals that I Create & Send?
Deals are one-time use codes that any guest can redeem with the code.
You can schedule the duration of your deal for a specific date and time or select All Day for the deal to be valid during regular business hours.
How Do I Create a Deal?
Deals are created in your marketing dashboard. Head to Dashboard → My Campaigns → Create Campaign → Offer a Deal and select a template to get started.
How do I Edit the Deal Settings on an Existing Deal?
From the deal editing page, you can access deal settings in two places:
By clicking on Review & Publish
By clicking anywhere inside the deal template
What is the Deal Name field in Settings?
The Deal Name is to help you remember and identify the deals that you have created.
Note: It will appear only in the Dashboard and on your POS
For example, the deal name Black Friday 20% Off will appear when the code is redeemed on your POS.
How do Guests Claim Deals on Facebook?
Guests who find your deal on Facebook can claim their deal by clicking on the autogenerated link in the post. When they click the link, they’ll be taken to a deal landing page with details and a space to enter their email address. Once their info has been inputted, they will be sent an email with the deal code to redeem in the restaurant or online.
Note: In order for a guest to receive the deal via the Facebook landing page, their email must not have been used to claim deals in the past. Existing guests are eligible for deals sent via email.
How do I Target Specific Guests for Emailed Deals?
Guests are auto-segmented into groups based on their spending activity (or lack thereof). These groups can be accessed by clicking on Target Audience in the deals settings sidebar.
Choose to send to all guests or select groups like active, lapsed, imported, new this week, top spenders, and best guests.
Only selected group(s) will receive the deal via email.
How do I Apply Deals to the Point of Sale?
