Waitlist Functions in SpotOn Reserve

Adding a Waitlist Party

In the toolbar, tap the orange Wait List button with the walking person. An onboarding screen will appear enabling the user to:

  1. Select a Party Size

  1. Confirm the estimated Wait Time or Adjust it by using the “-” and “+” buttons,

  1. Select a Section or First Available, if there is more than one section to choose from,

  1. Enter the guest’s Mobile Phone Number for texting guest when their table is ready, or

  1. Enter Name Only by using the button in the bottom left corner of the number pad if a guest does not have a cell phone.

Once the phone number or name has been entered, tap the blue checkmark button at the bottom right side of the keypad. If the guest is not already in the SpotOn database, the first name and last name of the guest will need to be entered by the host.

A Wait List Details screen will then appear.

In the bottom left corner, use the red button in the bottom left corner to cancel, or the blue button to modify the status of the party. This profile also allows:

●       The Party Members names and contact information to be entered,  time, and table assignment of the guest,

●       The History of this Wait List to be viewed,

●       The Party Size to be modified,

●       The Estimated Wait Time to be modified,

●       The Estimated Meal Duration to be modified,

●       The Table suggestion to be modified,

●       Dining Notes to be added,

●       The Guest Details to be modified,

●       The Guest History to be viewed,

●       Guest Notes to be added,

●       Party Flags to be added,

●       A Chit to be printed, and

●       The guest to be paged.

Once finished, press the "X" in the upper right corner to close the profile.

Guests will be placed in the Waiting List to the left of the table layout either in Arrival Order, or in Order of the Next Guest to be Sat, depending on which setting management has selected for use in the SpotOn Reserve Web Portal.
