Start-A-Tab | SpotOn Express (FOH)

This article will detail how to use Start-A-Tab on SpotOn Express.

Action	Display
1. Enter PIN to unlock station
2. Select New Check in the lower-right corner of the screen
3. At the Check Details screen, enter a name for the Check
4. Tap on the Credit card number field and follow the prompts to insert or swipe the customer's payment method using the attached credit card terminal When starting a tab via chip reader, the customer's name will automatically be read from the card itself. Customers who use tap to pay will still need their name entered manually.
5. Select Start Check in the lower-right corner of the screen
6. Add all applicable items to the order
7. Select Submit when ready to send the items to the kitchen for preparation -OR- move directly to the checkout screen. For more information completing checkout, please refer to this article on the checkout process.
