Profit Report
The Profit Report of your SpotOn Restaurant POS Analytics shows the profit breakdown of your restaurant, i.e., what percentage items and item groups make up of the restaurants overall profits.
The following steps are required in order to efficiently utilize the Profit Report on http://restaurantreports.spoton.com.
Cost Input (BOH)
To get the most accurate Profit report, make sure that any item you sell has a cost associated with it. Cost is what the item costs the restaurant to produce, while price is what the restaurant sells the item for.
Cost can be input two ways, at the individual item level, or using the bulk editor.

1. From the BOH main screen, select Menu Items | |
2. Select the desired Menu Item, and scroll to Cost, located in the Location Specific Settings section 3. Input the individual Cost for this item |

Menu Item Bulk Editor

1. From the BOH main screen, select Menu Items Bulk Editor | |
2. Select the Organization 3. Select the Location(s) 4. Select the Menu Item Group to add the Costs to, and tap Refresh
5. Input the appropriate Cost to each Menu Item |
View Profit Report
Once this is set up and you have real sales, go to http://restaurantreports.spoton.com to view your Profit Report.
