Linking Tables for Large Reservations

Without linking tables, the restaurant will only be able to accept Reservations and Jump In Line parties up to the largest single table size available. This also means that Hosts would only be able to onboard Waitlist and Reservation parties up to the largest size single tables available. Without linking tables, only Managers and Admins would be able to override and accept a large party without a table assignment, and would have to manually select the tables to seat the large party. To avoid this, multiple tables can be linked together to create a seating area capable of hosting large parties.

To access Links, log into the SpotOn Reserve Web Portal, click Settings, select Dining Room, and click Links.

  1. From the Link Dining Tables screen, click the Add New button

  2. Click the desired tables to link

    • Selected tables will turn blue

    • There is no limit to the number of tables that can be linked together

  3. Linked tables will have a minimum and maximum seating capacity. This can be adjusted by using the ( - ) and ( + ) buttons in the upper left corner

    • These buttons would be used to increase the capacity if the selected tables have leafs or wings

  4. When the desired tables for this new linkage have been selected, click Save

    • Saved linkages will display in a column on the left side of the screen

    • By default the links will show in order of smallest to largest

  5. To arrange the linked tables by seating preference, click Order by Priority

It is good practice to click Save in the lower left corner after making any changes to your Linked Dining Tables

 

Edit Existing Table Links

  1. Click the Edit icon (pencil) next to the linked tables to edit the link

    • The selected linked tables will turn blue on the Dining Room Layout

  2. To add another table, select the desired table(s) on the Dining Room layout

  3. To adjust the seating capacity of the linkage, use the ( - ) and ( + ) buttons

  4. To delete a table linkage, click the red trash can icon

It is good practice to click Save in the lower left corner after making any changes to your Linked Dining Tables
