Overrides

The default number of reservations that can be taken each hour is determined by the number of tables that are set up to accept reservations in the Dining Room Layout (as designated by a green book icon on the table).

Note: Any table designated as accepting reservations is considered available for SpotOn Reservation Host to assign as a suggested table assignment. This is important as the user, on the day of reservations, must review the scheduled reservations and their assigned tables to make sure that they are assigned in alignment with the servers assigned to tables for that day.

Note: Users may move reservations from the system suggested table assignment to a different table(s), without regard to whether or not that table(s) is designated for accepting reservations.

To access Overrides, log into the SpotOn Reserve Web Portal, click Settings, select Dining Room, and click Overrides.

  1. Click the Add ( + ) button in the Standard Dining Table Overrides section

    • The primary Dining Room layout will display

  2. Use the Day of Week drop down to select the desired day

  3. Set each table to the appropriate reservation status by clicking the book icon

    • Red: Does not accept reservations

    • Green: Accepts reservations

  4. Make any other appropriate changes to the layout as needed, table sizes, etc.

  5. Click the Save button when complete

  1. Click the Add ( + ) button in the Special Dining Table Overrides section

    • The primary Dining Room layout will display

  2. Use the Date drop down to select the desired day

  3. Set each table to the appropriate reservation status by clicking the book icon

    • Red: Does not accept reservations

    • Green: Accepts reservations

  4. Make any other appropriate changes to the layout as needed, table sizes, etc.

  5. Click the Save button when complete

  6. You cannot add tables/objects in Overrides. These must exist in the primary Dining Room Layout first
